Extensions can be customized to fit for a variety of life and hair styles. The best thing to do is book a consultation to see how they can benefit you.
How long does my natural hair need to be?
Extensions can be applied to most hair as long as the natural hair is a minimum of 1-2 inches. However, to create the most natural blend it is recommended that your hair be about shoulder length.
What kind of maintenance do extensions require ?
Hair extensions will require in salon appointments every 6-8 weeks on average to move them up as your hair grows.
Can I use hot tools on my extensions?
Yes, the extensions applied in salon are always 100% human hair and you can use hot tools the same as you would on your natural hair. Just be sure to keep the hot styling tools away from your scalp, extreme heat may inadvertently melt or change the competition of certain extension bonds.
How do I brush my extensions?
It is recommended to use an extension brush or wet brush, never use a comb. Hold one hand over the bonds and brush your hair with the other hand.
Do I need to use special products with my extensions?
Hair extensions should be treated with care, at the minimum I recommend a heat protectant. If you have tape in extensions it is necessary that you use sulfate free products and avoid alcohol based products.
Can I put my hair up?
Yes! You should be able to wear your hair up as necessary. In fact, it is recommended you wear your extensions in a loose ponytail or braid at bedtime to avoid tangling.
How long does the application take?
Most tape in or weft extension applications are completed in under 2 hours.
How do I wash my hair with extensions?
It is important to use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, sulfates can break down the bonds causing slippage. When conditioning, apply conditioner from the mid shaft to the ends, avoiding the scalp and bonds. Be sure not to pull or tug on any bonds.
How long will my extensions last?
Typically extension hair will last 8 months to 1 year of reapplications of continued wear. With excellent care and proper maintenance.
Can the hair be reused?
Yes, your extension hair may be reused for multiple re applications provided you take care of it and it is in good condition.
How can I remove the extensions?
You should schedule an appointment to have the extensions removed. The removal appointment will include a shampoo, scalp massage and blow-dry.
Do you cut extensions?
Of course! Once applied hair extensions need to be trimmed and blended into your natural hair.
Can I exercise while wearing extensions?
Yes, extensions can be worn during exercise. Depending how often you exercise or what types of exercise you are preforming may help determine which method would be best for you.
Which extension method should I choose?

What is the process of getting extensions?
The first step is to book a consult. During the consult we will discuss lifestyle and hair goals in order to determine the best method for you. A non-refundable deposit is required to order the hair which typically takes a week to arrive and then we will schedule your first application.
How does it feel to have extensions?
Extensions should be comfortable! It is not normal to feel discomfort or pain while wearing extensions.
Can I color my extensions?
Yes, extensions can be colored darker or toned to create the perfect match but it is not advised to highlight them.
Will people know I'm wearing extensions?
When applied correctly extensions should not be noticeable and should blend with your natural hair for a seamless look.
Will extensions ruin my natural hair?
Extensions should not ruin your natural hair with proper care and applications. It is important that the weight of the extensions matches the natural hair density to avoid unnecessary tension on your hair.
